FARM
Composting– Maintaining the compost system on the Wyckoff Farm is an important way that we help divert food scraps from the waste stream and make sure the plants we grow have the nutrition they need. If you’re interested in composting at home, NPR has some helpful tips to get started with a simple compost bin. Vermicompost– If you have limited access to outdoor space another way to reduce food waste at home is by creating a worm bin. Our partners at the NYC Compost Project have a step by step guide to create a happy home for our favorite worm, the red wiggler!
