St. Nicholas Appeal

Each fall we conduct our St. Nicholas Appeal to support one-of-a-kind educational & cultural programming at the historic Wyckoff House Museum.

Help us honor the Wyckoff immigrant ancestors, Pieter Claesen and Grietje Van Ness, by making and end-of-year donation to the Wyckoff Association’s annual St. Nicholas Fund. Your generosity not only ensures that we can provide comprehensive genealogical network for their descendants, but also that we continue to preserve and interpret the single most important and tangible piece of Wyckoff heritage and their legacy – their home.

Where your Contributions go

Your St. Nicholas Day contribution will directly support the museum’s educational programs and activities, which serves more than 12,000 students and visitors each year. $50 buys activity supplies for 100 students; $250 funds a Family Day Teaching Artist; $500 grows one teaching garden bed; $1,000 decorates the historic house for the holidays; $2,500 sponsors one summer Garden Apprentice.

General Donations

When the Wyckoff House & Association was formed in the 1930’s it was entirely supported by donations and membership dues. Roughly 80 years later, donations have fallen drastically, making up less than 20% of the House’s operating budget. We rely on the support of our members, friends, and visitors to preserve our iconic landmarked House and continue vital educational programs for years to come.

While unrestricted cash donations are always helpful in meeting our educational mission, there are more ways to give. You can also donate or purchase a gift from our wish lists or support the association in building our membership.
