Workshops & Demonstrations
About our Demonstrations & Workshops
Join us at our monthly farmer’s market for arts and garden based demonstrations and hands-on workshops. All demonstrations are free and open to the public, June through November. Most demos are designed for adults and mature teens (ages 14+) and accompanied by an optional hands-on workshop component for a small materials fee ($5). Register ahead of time or just show up. Materials are limited for certain workshop, so you can prepay the materials fee ahead of time or pay on the day of on a first-come-first-serve basis.
All activities take place outdoors, rain-or-shine, so we recommend that you come dressed for the weather and eager to get your hands dirty. Some of the workshops we regularly offer include: Spinning & Felting, Fermentation, Natural Dyeing, Medicinal Herbs, Embroidery, Quilting, and Hearth Cooking.

Skill Building Garden Days
Get your hands in the dirt and come out to help for volunteer days on select Saturday mornings. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. We offer monthly volunteer days in the garden which start with focus lessons and enable participants to build horticulture skills through hands-on work. Attending one of these sessions is a prerequisite to be an ongoing volunteer.
