SINTERKLAAS – SAINT NICHOLAS DAY

FreeJoin us on Saturday, December 5th for our 19th Annual Sinterklaas- St. Nicholas Day Celebration. This year will look a little different as we adjust for social distancing guidelines but we hope you can join us for craft activities, tree lighting, and a visit from St. Nick.
Children will enjoy a special visit from St. Nicholas as he arrives on horseback around 2:30PM. St. Nicholas will tell the traditional tale of The Bakers Dozen and children are invited to sign the Red Book. Sip hot cider, try your hand at colonial games, create a holiday pomander, decorate a Dutch clog for Sinterklaas, and dress the tree for the tree lighting that will close the day as the sun goes down.

2:45PM St. Nicholas arrives on horseback, socially distanced meet the horses
3PM Story time with St. Nicholas: The Bakers Dozen
3:15-4PM Sign the Red Book and take photos in our Holiday Photo Booth**
4:30PM Tree decorating and lighting
What to expect on your visit:
- The house museum is currently closed to the public. We recommend dressing warmly as all activities will take place outdoors in the park.
- In order to facilitate social distancing, we cannot guarantee entry without a reserved ticket. Walk-ups will be admitted on a first-come-first-served basis, capacity permitting.
HEALTH & SAFTEY
- Mask wearing and social distancing requirements must be adhered to while visiting the grounds.
- Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the park and event. We will have extra masks if you do not bring your own.
- Visitors will be health-screened upon entering the park and are required to provide contact information in compliance with contact tracing protocol.
- We recommend using the restroom before your arrival. There is one port-o-san on the property.
**To respect social distancing guidelines, photos with St. Nicholas will not be available this year. Families are encouraged to take photos in our Holiday-themed Photo Booth as an alternative.
In light of the effects of COVID-19 on our community, this year ticket fees will be waived. Refreshments and holiday items wil be available on-site for purchase.
