COMPOST DISTRIBUTION, Community Compost Giveback Event

Come by the farm at the Wyckoff House Museum to pickup usable compost for your home and garden.

Compost is Free. This compost is provided by the Department of Sanitation. It is made of organic waste collected around New York City. It is processed, sifted, bagged in Staten Island. It is very high quality!

With your registration you may take home up to 4 bags. Each bag is about 1.5 cubic feet and weighs 40 pounds.

Any bags not picked up by 3PM will be released to the public.

Do you compost your food scarps? We will be processing food scraps on site to add to our compost “bin system”. We encourage anyone who is picking up compost to stay for a few minutes to help chop scraps and load them into our compost bins.
