Explore the past by discovering the ways we lit up our homes without electricity in this Family Day Double Feature! Illuminate your world by creating decorative lanterns and your own candle. Additionally\, participate in a leaf raking competition to make the largest pile! \nPrepare for your visit: \n\nFarmhouse Family Day is from 11AM-3PM with the craft activity beginning at 11:30AM for ages 4-7 and 1PM for ages 8-12. This is an all ages event\, ideal for kids ages 4-12.\nTours of the Wyckoff House will be available starting at 12PM.\nDress appropriately for the weather as Family Day takes place indoors and outdoors – make sure to wear closed toed shoes if you plan on participating in any farm activities.

SUMMARY:Community Work Day at the Wyckoff Urban Farm
DESCRIPTION:Calling all green thumbs\, get your hands dirty at our monthly drop-in volunteer days!\n\n\nStop by the Wyckoff Urban Farm on the third Saturday of the month to learn about what we’re growing\, get to know our farmers\, and get your hands dirty with farm projects! \nDrop by anytime between 12-3PM to volunteer alongside our farm staff to care for our space and participate in special work projects. \nTickets are not required to attend\, but it’s always helpful to RSVP so we can plan projects accordingly. \nTHINGS TO KNOW: \n\nThis is an all ages event. We welcome individuals and families but children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their stay. Check out what’s happening during Farmhouse Family Day while you’re here!\nDress for the mess! Make sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in and wear close toed shoes to protect your feet.\nCome Prepared: We will provide all the tools and protective gear for your projects but coming prepared with a hat\, long sleeved shirt\, sunscreen\, and bug spray is always a good idea. \nFacilities: Water fountain and public restrooms are available on-site. We recommend bringing snacks and a refillable water bottle.\nWeather: Community Work Days are rain or shine. If extreme weather is expected\, we will update this page and contact those on the RSVP list to cancel.\nVolunteer Groups: This event is intended for individuals\, families\, and small groups of 5 or fewer participants. Community organizations and corporate volunteer groups are welcome to make advance reservations by emailing info@wyckoffmuseum.org to discuss scheduling options and availability.
