DESCRIPTION:Calling all green thumbs\, get your hands dirty at our monthly drop-in volunteer days!\n\n\nStop by the Wyckoff Urban Farm on the third Saturday of the month to learn about what we’re growing\, get to know our farmers\, and get your hands dirty with farm projects! \nDrop by anytime between 12-3PM to volunteer alongside our farm staff to care for our space and participate in special work projects. \nTickets are not required to attend\, but it’s always helpful to RSVP so we can plan projects accordingly. \nDon’t Miss our other Special Activities:  Farm stand beginning at 11am // Experience NY’s oldest house on a guided tour during special cellar to attic tours during Open House NY // Family Programming: Farmhouse Family Day drop-in activities and guided tours centered on food preservation offered at 11:30 am and 1pm // Volunteer with Hashtag Lunchbag BK at 11am \nTHINGS TO KNOW: \n\nThis is an all ages event. SUMMARY:Farmhouse Family Day: Putting the Farm to Sleep
DESCRIPTION:The growing season is over and the harvest season has begun! Join us as we tour the farm to learn about different preservation techniques.\n\n\nOctober is the time to preserve the last remnants of the summer harvest and store it in our historic house to savor throughout the winter. Join us for Open House NY Weekend to explore the house top to bottom with special architecture tours.  \n \nAdditionally\, take a tour around the farm and learn about different methods farmers use to prepare the grounds for winter. Tours and activities will start at 11:30am (ages 4-7) and again at 1:00pm (Ages 8-12)  \n \nPeek into the attic and historic root cellar to see where we store our preserved yields and try your hand at a quick pickle! \n \nPrepare for your visit: \n\nFarmhouse Family Day is from 11AM-3PM with the craft activity beginning at 11:30AM for ages 4-7 and 1PM for ages 8-12. This is an all ages event\, ideal for kids ages 4-12.\nJoin Hashtag Lunchbag BK at 11AM to help make lunch bags for our community fridge! DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the sun with us with various activities!\n\n\nJoin us as we soak up the last rays of summer and celebrate the sun with various activities! Can’t come on Saturday? This family day is a double feature\, join us on Sunday! \nPrepare for your visit: \n\nFarmhouse Family Day is from 11AM-3PM Saturday August 16th AND Sunday August 17th with the craft activity beginning at 11:30AM for ages 4-7 and 1PM for ages 8-12. This is an all ages event\, ideal for kids ages 4-12.\nTours of the Wyckoff House will be available starting at 12PM.\nDress appropriately for the weather as Family Day takes place indoors and outdoors – make sure to wear closed toed shoes if you plan on participating in any farm activities.\nDon’t miss our weekly Farmstand\, Saturdays starting July 19 from 11AM!

SUMMARY:Community Work Day at the Wyckoff Urban Farm
DESCRIPTION:Calling all green thumbs\, get your hands dirty at our monthly drop-in volunteer days!\n\n\nStop by the Wyckoff Urban Farm on the third Saturday of the month to learn about what we’re growing\, get to know our farmers\, and get your hands dirty with farm projects! \nDrop by anytime between 12-3PM to volunteer alongside our farm staff to care for our space and participate in special work projects. \nTickets are not required to attend\, but it’s always helpful to RSVP so we can plan projects accordingly. \nTHINGS TO KNOW: \n\nThis is an all ages event. We welcome individuals and families but children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their stay. Check out what’s happening during Farmhouse Family Day while you’re here!\nDress for the mess! Make sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in and wear close toed shoes to protect your feet.\nCome Prepared: We will provide all the tools and protective gear for your projects but coming prepared with a hat\, long sleeved shirt\, sunscreen\, and bug spray is always a good idea. \nFacilities: Water fountain and public restrooms are available on-site. We recommend bringing snacks and a refillable water bottle.\nWeather: Community Work Days are rain or shine. If extreme weather is expected\, we will update this page and contact those on the RSVP list to cancel.\nVolunteer Groups: This event is intended for individuals\, families\, and small groups of 5 or fewer participants. Community organizations and corporate volunteer groups are welcome to make advance reservations by emailing info@wyckoffmuseum.org to discuss scheduling options and availability.
