Take a look inside New York’s oldest house at this year’s special Open House NY Weekend tours! Glimpse into the past with special architectural tours featuring the “core” of our historic home, the rarely seen root cellar and attic spaces.
Saturday Tours:
11:30am – Families (ages 4+)
Learn about the architectural details that made cooking, growing, and storing food possible in this 17th century Dutch farmhouse. Duration & capacity: About 30 minutes for up to 20 people.
1:30pm – Teens & Adults
Using architecture as our guide, take a deep dive into the history of the daily lives of those who called the Wyckoff House and surrounding area home in the 17th & 18th centuries. Duration & capacity: About 45 minutes for up to 20 people.
Family Programming: From 11am-3pm, take part in our Farmhouse Family Day! Explore the “core” of the Wyckoff House Museum through taste and creativity, sampling yummy apples and creating architecture design-inspired prints! Drop-in activities will be ongoing with the special apple design crafts beginning at 1pm.
