POSTPONED: Farmhouse Family Day: Women’s Art, Women’s Work

March 21, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

Free

Update as of March 13, 2020: This event is currently postponed. Please check here on our website for the latest updates and revised open hours as we work to reschedule. Thank you for your understanding!

This women’s history month, we welcome special guest Protest Garden artist-in-residence Jennifer Harley, whose art examines the intersections of gender, labor and migration through transforming everyday objects into site specific sculptures and installations. Join Jennifer for an artist-led workshop inspired by her research into the Wyckoff House archive and Black life in New Amsterdam and early New York. Explore crafts and objects from the Colonial era, dive into some picture books, and tour our historic house and grounds. Family Day is from 11AM to 4PM, with the artist’s workshop beginning at 1PM. Seasonal Storytime, ideal for visitors ages 6 and under, will begin at 11:30AM, and garden activities will take place from 11-12:30. Farmhouse Family Days are always free to the public and open to visitors of all ages. Reservations not required, but recommended.
