Creative Homesteading: Basics of Composting

May 4, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

An understanding of compost is essential for Farmers and Gardeners working on any scale. Join Farmer Zach as he leads us through the steps of using a 3-bin compost system, how to modify that practice for our urban environment, breaks down how composting happens, and why it is such an important part of our urban food system. Be prepared to get your hands dirty and engage in discussion. Take home some of the compost we produce to get started at home.

This workshop is recommended for participants ages 13 and up.
